The 101 Parallel Building (fka The Dalles Cherry Growers Building) can be seen in the lower left corner and the Magnesium Potline structures built for the proposed Dow Chemical Plant are also visible just below and left of the center of the photograph (these were removed in May 1981 when the project was abandoned). All major roads now in existence can be seen including Dock Road, Dow Road, Parallel Avenue, Kreps Drive, James Avenue, and Berry Drive. The Port's water reservoir (built between April and December 1972) can also be seen near the center of the picure. At the time of this photograph, the barge dock and railroad overpass had not yet been constructed.
